3. Permissions Explained

Sound Booster requests the following permissions solely to function:

• activeTab — to access the current tab's audio elements for volume boosting
• scripting — to inject the audio processing engine into web pages
• storage — to save your volume and EQ settings locally
• tabs — to detect when you navigate to a new page so the booster can re-initialize
• host_permissions (all URLs) — to allow the audio booster to work on any website you visit

No permission is used for tracking, data collection, or any purpose other than audio processing.

4. Third-Party Services

Sound Booster does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. The extension operates entirely offline and locally.

5. Audio Processing

All audio processing is performed locally in your browser using the Web Audio API. No audio data is recorded, stored, or transmitted. The extension only modifies the audio output in real time — nothing is captured.

6. Children's Privacy

Sound Booster does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension does not collect information from any user of any age.

7. Changes to This Policy
